  1. ANNE MCCAFFREY - A black ink and gray pencil drawing on an 11 x 14 size vellum paper. It appears on the cover of "STARMONT READER'S GUIDE No. 30".

Anne McCaffrey had a long and successful career writing her popular dragon-world "Pern" novels, and other works of fantasy. I have read only one of her stories, a short novel titled "Coelura," because I was hired to do interior illustrations for the book. It was published by Underwood-Miller in 1983, but the illustrations are not mine, they were done by Ned Dameron!
    What happened? I don't know . . . and I never found out!

Question 1 - If you made yourself a better person, would that make this a
    better world?
Question 2 - If every person in the world became as good as you, and not
one iota better, would this be a better world?

I answered both questions; "Yes, I think so."
And I felt a ghostly slap on the back of my head.
    Apparently, I have some issues . . .
